FAQ

COVID safety is my number one concern during training, and all courses will be taught in accordance with Government, HSE and Resuscitation Council UK COVID guidelines. Changes to training include:

• Reduction in course sizes, if required, to adhere to 2m social distancing.
• Face masks to be worn by all instructors and participants.
• Lessons to be taught in a well-ventilated space, when practicable.
• The omission of rescue breaths in CPR.
• Regular sanitisation of workspace and equipment.

Any learner displaying COVID symptoms are asked not to attend. For certain courses, such as FAW, there is an option of blended learning. Please contact me for further information.

I am a HCPC registered Paramedic which both satisfies the HSE requirements for teaching all of my corporate courses, and ensures my teaching is both current and relevant. I hold a Level 3 Award in Education and Training qualifying me to instruct and assess, and have taught at a high level of medicine for many years. I am also registered with Nuco Training therefore my corporate courses are regulated and accredited by First Aid Awards Ltd.

My corporate courses are accredited by First Aid Awards Ltd satisfying all legal requirements required for such training. These courses include: First Aid at Work, Emergency First Aid at Work, First Aid at Work (Requalification), Paediatric First Aid (Carers), Paediatric First Aid (Schools), Basic Life Support + AED, and Activity First Aid. The Motorcycle First Aid and Adventure First Aid courses can include Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) if requested. All of my courses are taught in accordance with the latest medical guidance.

My courses are normally held at your venue, whether that be your workplace or home, which allows me to keep my prices low. In special circumstances I can arrange a venue for you in a nearby location. My Motorcycle First Aid, Activity First Aid, and Adventure First Aid courses are a mixture of indoor and outdoor activities.

I aim to keep my prices low but any special circumstances such as arranging a training venue, or travelling a long distance from the Portsmouth area may bring additional costs. Please contact me to discuss.

I run courses upon request meaning that my dates and timings can be flexible to meet your needs. Some courses can be run over multiple weeks instead of in a block-booking. Please contact me to discuss.

Any of my courses which provide accredited certification, such as First Aid at Work and Paediatric First Aid, will include practical assessments throughout the training. There are no formal assessments in any of my other courses but the practical skills will be practised to ensure that you leave feeling confident to apply First Aid.

Payment details will be sent upon booking. I will require full payment before the start of any course.

I hold an enhanced Disclosure and Barring certificate and also a basic Disclosure Scotland certificate, both clear of convictions. My DBS certificate is part of the DBS Update Service meaning that it is continually refreshed and therefore always current.
